The Coinformer may collect limited technical information needed to operate the website, protect it from abuse, measure aggregate readership and improve the service. This can include server logs, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referral sources and interaction data.

Community Notes creates a pseudonymous public-key identity in the reader’s browser. The private signing key stays in that browser. The service stores the public key, notes, ratings, reputation history and salted network security hashes to resist duplicate identities and coordinated manipulation. Public audit data excludes keys and network hashes, and delays unshown submissions and individual ratings for 48 hours.
The Coinformer does not ask readers to send passwords, wallet seed phrases, private keys or sensitive financial credentials. Those details must never be sent through comments, forms or email.
Third-party services used for analytics, hosting, advertising, email or embedded content may process data under their own policies. Readers can contact the site operator with privacy questions or removal requests where applicable law provides those rights.
