How it works

Securitize, a tokenized securities platform working with asset managers including BlackRock, Apollo, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR and VanEck, expects to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ on July 2.

The company said on June 26 in an X post that its merger with Cantor Equity Partners II, a publicly traded SPAC sponsored by an affiliate of Cantor Fitzgerald, is expected to raise about $400 million in gross proceeds.

  • The deal still needs approval from Cantor Equity Partners II shareholders at a special meeting on June 29.
  • If approved and other closing conditions are met, the business combination is expected to close on July 1.

The latest update gives Securitize more clarity on how much cash it may receive from the deal. Holders of less than 30% of Cantor Equity Partners II Class A ordinary shares chose to redeem, leaving 71.5% of the SPAC trust in place.

  • After closing, the combined company is expected to operate as Securitize Corp.

Securitize says it has more than $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets under management as of June 2026.

The listing plan comes during a louder legal moment for Securitize. As The Coinformer reported earlier, Securitize sued tZERO in Delaware federal court after tZERO accused it of infringing tokenization patents tied to regulated digital securities infrastructure.

Securitize has called those patent allegations "without merit," while tZERO has said it plans to enforce patents it says reflect years of work in regulated digital securities.
