Hyperliquid, a crypto derivatives platform built around a permissionless trading network and on-chain settlement, has been added to the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Investor Alert List.
The Hyperliquid team quickly responded by saying in an X post that the listing isn't a ban, an enforcement action or a finding of wrongdoing.
- The Investor Alert List is a public warning list for entities that, based on information available to the Monetary Authority of Singapore, may be wrongly perceived as licensed, authorized or regulated by the Singapore regulator.
Hyperliquid said it is permissionless infrastructure, not a Singapore-licensed platform, and that it has never claimed to be licensed or authorized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
- The Singapore list has already included several large crypto names.
- Binance was placed on the Investor Alert List in September 2021 after the regulator said it wasn't licensed or regulated in Singapore to provide payment services.
- Bybit and KuCoin were also added earlier this year.
