Goldman Sachs, the 7th largest bank by domestic assets, exited Solana and XRP ETF positions in Q1 while adding a new public-equity bet tied to Hyperliquid, a decentralized crypto exchange built on its own custom blockchain.
The financial behemoth disclosed the changes in a Form 13F filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on May 15, covering holdings as of March 31.
- The filing no longer showed XRP-linked ETFs in its Q1 filing after reporting nearly $154 million of exposure at the end of 2025.
- It also no longer reported Solana-linked funds, including the Grayscale Solana Trust ETF, the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF and the Fidelity Solana Fund.
- But Goldman still held about $690 million in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, and about $25 million in Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF, FBTC.
- It also still held about $114 million in BlackRock's spot Ethereum ETF, ETHA.
At the same time, the HYPE treasury company, Hyperliquid Strategies, appeared as a new Goldman position through its Nasdaq-listed stock, PURR, according to the filing.
Amid the news, the price of HYPE jumped 6.5% on the day to $45.6, per CoinGecko data.
